What are some reasons why a person would hate poetry?
I think I hate poetry, lyrics, and stuff like that because when I read them and try to understand, I realize that they're talking about something so simple, or such a common human experience. I just don't like how these complicated words, and metaphors all explain something so minor, or just not that special. I can't really explain it, but what are some common reasons other people hate poetry?

- I hate poetry...it is because, like you say, 1000 flowery words are used to say something where 20 simple ones would suffice...I hate the sound of the human voice too...still analyzing just why this is...something to do with my mother's cadence and tone of voice I think...
- because their not gay
- Theres diffrent types of poetry. Sometimes people hate one type of poetry and like another.
- i like poetry. it gets me thinking. ready kid's poetry was fun for me because it was different. reason i think some people hate poetry is because it can be boring.
- when i was younger i used to love poetry (about 15-14 years old) i was very romantic i used to fell in platonic love with poets. But now yes i think poetries are boring because too romantic cant see a flavour as flavour but something extraordinary but it is just a flavour no life is sharp and not as romantic as poetries tHis century doesnt accept poetry it is a tren of 19th century In this century i prefer music and movies But poetry is a nostalgy
