What do girls feel when they read an elaborate good poem?

I've written many about experiences I've had and alot of my friends that are girls tell me some are really good. They've said "Dude, this is one of the best poems i read, seriously!" "awww i love this one. cuz its about friendship and love. ahaha lovers and friends. you should get a notebook for your poems but not like some ghetto ugly ass notebook but something leather and very classical. LOL. when's your birthday. ahaha. i'll get one for you." "this poem soo good. i like it =] feel better now! hehehehe" I'm not trying to be conceited but girls that have read some of them basically say its really cute and that I'm talented. I've gotten their opinions about my poetry but what do girls feel when they've read a touching poem that people can relate too? I'm a 15 year old kid and I'm just curious about these things. =)

  1. Girls are emotional so they like reading those poems, Im sure as a girl I can relate it to reality and experiences.. Goodluck I love a person who are poet because they are romantic... Shekinah
  2. Girls are raised to be polite and supportive. They may be giving flattering remarks because they genuinely like the poetry -- or they may simply be giving rave reviews because they would feel uncomfortable saying anything else. (This is why so many girls won't flat-out and say, "No, I won't go out with you," but rather come up with excuses, such as "Oh, I'd like to, but we're visiting my grandmother next weekend."). Maybe the stuff really is great, but phrases such as "elaborate good" and "one of the best poems i read" indicate to me that either (a) you type your poetry much more carefully than you type your Yahoo! questions, or (b) the girls are merely trying to be polite.
