How can I have my poetry copywritted?

I have several copywritted that I have submitted for publication through other people. But I want to write my own poetry book, and I like to post some of my work on my myspace profile for input and ect. But I want them to be copywritted before I post them online.

1. You enjoy a natural copyright because you are the creator of the work. You can add a copyright symbol, the year and your name. For example: (C)2006 your-name Read this: http://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ1.html#wccc
2. You could always mail them to yourself and the postmark would prove that they were yours--but don't open that envelope until you need to prove it to someone.
