Where can I find good poetry books for teen girls?

I'm sixteen and I write a lot of poetry but I don't read it much. I want to read poetry more so I could get better at writing but I just don't know where to find them or which ones to get. Could you help me? Could you give me tittles and names of good authors? I don't think I was clear about what I meant.

  3. I think that is great that you want to read more poetry. Your best bet is to go to your local library and check out some poetry books. I love poetry and that is how I first discovered some of my favorites. If you like confessional type poetry you may want to check out Anne Sexton or Sylvia Plath. When I was in high school I loved TS Eliot. I think everyone should have Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman and The Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters. Billy Collins is a current poet who is very fun to read and easy to understand. The Beat Poets such as Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg from the 50s are really interesting. Anthologies are always good. Definitely check out a big fat one so you can really sample a wide variety. Happy discovering!
